New metro line
This megalopolis in the south-west of India is the country’s fastest-growing metropolitan area, with its population of 8 million people. The Bangalore Metro crosses the bustling commercial and residential areas of the city. The first phase, consisting of two new double-track lines running east to west and north to south, covers a total of 42.3 km – practically the same distance as a marathon.
